Dec 18, Yes, you can remove tree stumps with a mini excavator, but of course, there is a limit to how big a tree stump it can remove. For smaller stumps, a mini excavator can simply pull it out.

Jan 30, For what I've used it for I think an excavator around the 10k size is best for all around tree work it can pick up a decent size log and has the power and reach to push lg trees over. That is where a mini excavator with a grapple shines, sitting in one spot and grabbing brush and logs and orienting them butt first, feeding a chipper, loading a trailer, the ability to rotate a load is great.
